Vintage Runway Shows
I have now completed 2 Vintage Runway Shows one in Invercargill and one in Dunedin. The Dunedin and Southland shows were both run in conjunction with Elegant Events owned and operated by Sandy Jefferies.
Southland bride of the year and the Dunedin Wedding show were the platforms from which these were held.
We put a call out to families and people around each community to allow us to borrow wedding dresses of the past and we had a huge number of people willing to let us use their beautiful precious gowns. We were extremely lucky to be able to showcase them on models at these events. Amazing details on these dresses and the stories behind them were lovely and made each day extremely successful.
A lot of work goes into making these shows happen! Behind the scenes many fittings for models, music, styling, timing, hair and makeup to name a few. Having people around you that know what they are doing and do their jobs well is a necessity. This is why I am in contact with preferred vendors and always on the lookout for new options to make every event run smoothly and efficiently.
