Sarah & James Destination wedding
Destination weddings are fun but can be kind of hard to plan for. Sarah and James are based in Australia and would be flying in days before their special day. Everything needed to be on point on the NZ side of the ditch to put this couple at ease.
They got in touch with me to help them with picking the right vendors. Ones that would fit best with their ideas and that they could trust to get everything together for their destination wedding. A few skype meetings and 50+ emails later and we had everything and everyone locked in!
I always aim to make each journey exciting and as stress free as possible so no questions or requests went unanswered for long even with the time difference it often worked to our advantage.
Vision
Sarah had such an amazing vision for what she wanted and was so incredibly nice to work with. She was always open to suggestions and was so thoughtful when it came to comfort of her guest by supplying jandles for dancing, blankets, and hotties for the evening and a warm evening snack before everyone left. They both had lots of input to the overall esthetic of the day the colours being a favorite with James. Friends also helped out, moving 15-20 bench seats to the top of a cliff can be quite a task but many hands make light work and got they job done in record time.
Outdoor weddings on the coast can often cause a little nervousness with the bride. Weather is just something that cannot be controlled. (my good thoughts though always bring the sunshine!) so picking a peak summer month definitely gave them the best chance. The rain did come but lifted in time to set up for their beautiful reception on a friends private land where they spent the night celebrating with their close friends and family. https://encoreevents.co.nz/exclusive-venues/
